Ms. Myrtle Ruth Patrick age 55, of Brevard, formerly of Ashe County passed away Sunday night, July 2, 2017 at Brian Rehab & Health Center in Brevard, NC. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Ms. Patrick was born in Ashe County to the late James Garfield and Chessie Lee Faircloth Patrick. She attended Ashe Central High School. She enjoyed wearing her bracelets. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Walt Patrick and Eddie Patrick. Ms. Patrick is survived by three brothers, Kay Patrick of Ashland, VA, Ray Patrick, of Jefferson and Joe Patrick and wife, Linda, of Woodford, VA; six sisters, Martha Loggins of Piney Creek, Bobbie Wingler and husband, Charles, of Piney Creek, Geraldine Massey of Woodford, VA, Becky Pearson and husband Greg, of Millers Creek, Mildred Sexton and husband, Roy, of Fires, VA and Earline Hill of Warrensville, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be appreciated. The family will be meeting at the home of Martha Loggins at 4051 Baker's Ridge Road in Piney Creek.
