Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.

I pray that God wraps his loving arms around you all. Mrs. Ray was such a truly, genuine woman. I can remember spending summer days with her in her flower garden and cooking. She was always cooking. She had been so good to my mom, Bertha Taylor Kimberlin when she was young. And then in turn she shared her life skills with me.
The table up in Heaven just seems to be getting fuller. God bless and keep you all. I will never forget her. I just wish I could make my biscuits turn out as perfect as her always did. Maybe someday she will give me a refresher course. I can't think of a better way to spend eternity than with her and all of the others who are just waiting for the rest of us to be reborn again.
Love to you all and peace be still,
Teresa Kimberlin Martin

Granny Ray was a servant of God. I will never forget meeting her for the first time some thirty odd years ago. I called her Mrs. Bowers and it took about 30 seconds for her to tell me she was Granny Ray which included a hug and a laugh. She lived and loved as we all should with the smile and grace of a Saint. May the Bowers family have peace and comfort. I knelt down in front of her last July 16th and she said to me, "Bobby, please pray for Linda". We love you Aunt Linda!

Charlie,Nancy, Linda, and the entire Bowers Family,
What a wonderful legacy Granny Ray leaves behind. Our condolence to the family and extended family. She had a wonderful sense of humor. I can still remember the time she was so pleased that I mentioned her and Lee in the Happytime Show. I was telling Lee Bowers to bring back the topsoil that had washed away from my new construction at Sunnyside Park. That was a long time ago, given we've been gone from Ashe 36 years.

Granny Ray has been such an icon in our family. I have loved her since the first time Joe and I came to Friendship. She watched my children grow up and has always been faithful to ask about them and their families. Last year when I was down she was faithful to find about me and also always ask about our son Patrick who has had health issues. Linda, Charlie, Phil, and Bill your mother will be missed. You have been blessed beyond measure to have her with you for 101 years. I'm at the beach with my brothers and I'm sorry that I want be there for her final tribute, but my love and prayers are certainly be with all of you.
