Mr. Jason Thomas Hass, age 30, of Creston passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Graybeal and Rev. Rob Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Hass was born in Ashe County on Saturday, March 8, 1980 to Barry Lee and the late Kathleen Fay Heffner Hass. He worked as a mechanic several years but the past three years he helped his father install carpet. He is survived by his father, Barry Hass, of Creston; a son, Nathaniel Thomas Barker, of West Jefferson; his maternal grandmother, Fay Heffner, of Richland, PA; a brother, Michael Barry Hass, of Deep Gap; a sister, Sarah Louise Hass, of Creston; a friend of the family, Addie Evonne Ward; one niece; two nephews; several aunts and uncles, Thomas Heffner, III, of Pennsylvania, Gail Showers, of Pennsylvania, Judy and Robert Hartsoe, of Creston and Beverly Copenhaver, of Pennsylvania; several cousins also survive.
