Mr. Carl Gale Hamilton, age 69, of Jefferson, formerly of Wilkesboro, passed away Friday afternoon, January 13, 2012 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 12:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter Kyle and Rev. Roosevelt Carlton officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00pm on Wednesday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Hamilton was born in Ashe County on Monday, April 20, 1942 to the late Lenny and Mammie Hamilton. He worked as a Roofer. He was also preceded in death by a daughter; four brothers, Robert Hamilton, Garfield Hamilton, JC Hamilton and Joe Louis Hamilton; four sisters, Hazel Martin, Inez Banks, Martha Eller and Helen Vaughn. Mr. Hamilton is survived by a son, of Texas; a sister, Myrtle Garrett, of West Jefferson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
