Mr. Billie Ralph Phipps, age 79, of Crumpler passed away Saturday at Ashe Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Phipps is survived by: His wife Grace Ann Gregg Phipps 1 son Matthew Phipps of Greenville, NC 2 daughters Barbara Phipps of Townsend, Delaware Beth Wilhelm of Alworth, Georgia 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
