David is the Owner and President of Boone Family Funeral Home, Inc. He established the funeral home in 1994. He is married to Sandra Kay Elliott Boone and resides in West Jefferson. David and Sandy are members of the Beaver Creek Christian Church. David is the son of J.D. & Bertha Lou May Boone. He graduated from Nathans Creek Elementary School, Ashe Central High School, East Tennessee State University and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He grew up in funeral service and has been involved in funeral home, cemetery and monument operations in his family's business since childhood. He served on the Board of Directors of the NC Cemetery Association and was a salesman and territory manager for the Aurora Casket Company for almost four years. David holds a funeral directors and embalmers license as well as a NC insurance license. David currently serves on the Board of Directors of Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corp., the Blue Ridge Electric Members Foundation, Inc.,  he is active in the North Carolina Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, The International Order of the Golden Rule "OGR"and is a member of the Ashe County Wildlife Club, Ashe Masonic Lodge # 594 A.F.A.M., Scottish Rite Masonry, Ashe Shrine Club, and the Oasis Shrine Temple.

Linda is a native of Ashe County and has served as office manager since 1996.  She was promoted to the position of general manager in January of 2009. Linda is a graduate of Ashe Central High School and the Fayetteville Technical Community College - Department of Mortuary Science. She holds both a NC Funeral Directors License and a NC Life Insurance License. Linda formally served as a loan officer with a national loan office. She is an active member of the Divine Hope Baptist Church in Jefferson. She lives in Jefferson with her husband, Greg. Their daughter, Lyndsi attends Appalachian State University.

Dwight David VanHoy's funeral career started in 1997 after eleven years of service to Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, VA as an English teacher.  He is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University and holds a MA Degree from Appalachian State University.  In 1999 he graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atalanta, Georgia.  He and his wife, Michelle McNeil VanHoy, reside in Jefferson, NC and their farm in the Upper Grassy Creek Community of Mouth of Wilson.  He is a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church.  David is a local historian with a special affinity for the Grassy Creek Community and life-long collector of antiques and period glassware.

Brittany is a native of Ashe County. She is the daughter of Talmadge Lawrence & wife Mary Ann and Sandy & David Boone. She is a graduate of Ashe County High School, She holds Associate degrees from Wilkes Community College and the Fayetteville Technical Community College - Department of Mortuary Science. She is engaged to Randy Teaster and resides in the Mount Jefferson Community of West Jefferson, NC.

Jim Hartley began his funeral service career in 1960 with J.D. Boone and the Boone Family at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral  Home and Ashelawn Memorial Chapel and Gardens.  During this time Jim earned his funeral directors license and worked until 1990 a total of 30 years.  In November 1990, Jim was elected Sheriff of Ashe County.  He served four terms, a total of 16 years.  Upon retiring, Jim has gone full circle and is again working for David Boone and the Boone Family.  Jim is a member of Orion Baptist Church where he currently serves as deacon and trustee.  He is married to Angela Dillard Hartley.  They have a son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Mary Jane Hendrix Hartley and two grandsons, Adam and Aaron.  Jim is a member of Ashe Masonic Lodge #594 A.F.A.M., York Rite Masonry,  Ashe Shrine Club and the Oasis Shrine Temple of Charlotte, NC.

Troy Tucker began his funeral service career in 1966 after graduating from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He also attended Bowman Gray School of Medicine where he completed his eye enucilation certification for the NC Eye and Tissue Bank. Troy was born in Nash County, NC.  From 1995-2003 he owned and operated Tucker Mortuary Service in Charlotte, NC.  Troy attends Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church in Jefferson. He is a past master of Corinthian Masonic Lodge #230 of Rocky Mount, NC. He was also a member of the Rocky Mount Shrine Club. He has a daughter, Lori who is a Registered Nurse in Rocky Mount and a grandson, Chase.
