Mr. Francis Clifton Allen better known as Cliff, age 93, of Jefferson passed away, October 15, 2014 at his home. A Graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Roan Creek Cemetery with Brother Ray Shoemake. Mr. Allen was born in Ashe County on July 15, 1921 to Francis and Dare Bard Allen. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife; Ruby Allen, one son; James Clifton Allen of Jefferson, one brother; Wiley B. Allen of Dobson, two grandchildren; Cameron Allen of Laurel Springs and Korissa Richard of Sarsota, FL; one great-grandchild; Rhylee Marie Allen; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
