Obituary of Maude Evangeline Williams
Maude Keller Williams, age 99, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Margate Assisted Living in Jefferson, NC on Friday, October 17 2014.
Maude was born in Ashe County on October 7, 1915 and lived there her entire life. She was the daughter of the late L.N. and Clemmie Keller and she is survived by three brothers; Laine Keller, Charles Keller, and Jimmy Keller; and by five daughters; Pat Long of Belmont, NC, Greta Ferguson of West Jefferson, NC, Judy Branch (Larry) of West Jefferson, NC, Linda McCraw of Fleetwood, NC, and Sandy Lemly (Fred) of Fleetwood, NC.
Grandchildren are Lynn Ferguson, Susan Colone (Mark), Mike Long (Stephanie), Jeff Lemly (Holly), Stephanie Baker (Jerry), Monica Parsons (Chris), Devon Houck (Ryan), Keg Ferguson (Carolyn), Allison Branch, and fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Williams, John R. Long, Jimmy Ferguson and several brothers and sisters.
She was a very active member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Fleetwood, NC, and was known for her biscuits she made for the Bazaar. She was a homemaker and employed by Shadowline Company. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and friend to all who knew and loved her and will be greatly missed.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church, Fleetwood, NC on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11:00AM with Rev. Pricilla Walker and Rev. Brian Cornell officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Boone Family Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00PM.
