Mrs. Corinne Shatley Goodman, age 93, of Crumpler, passed away Tuesday night, November 11, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 1:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Goss and Rev. Robert Shatley officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm on Friday, November 14, 2014; one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Goodman was born in Ashe County to the late Troy and Annie Calloway Shatley. She was a Homemaker. Corinne was a wonderful cook and was known for her lemon pies. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church; where she played the piano for many years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all! She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Goodman; a brother, Paul Shatley; three sisters, Gladys Willard, Ruth Witherspoon and Jospehine Sells. Mrs. Goodman is survived by a daughter, Deanna Sebastian and husband, Ron, of Crumpler; a sister, Helen Williams, of Jefferson; a brother, Clarence Shatley and wife, Gladys, of Crumpler; a granddaughter, Seyward Jeter, of Murrells Inlet, SC; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Jeter, Merritt Jeter and Grant Jeter; several nieces and nephews also survive.
