Mr. Thomas David Holman, better known as "Tom" age 61, of West Jefferson, the Bald Mountain Community, died Wednesday afternoon, April 8, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. JD Walton and Rev. Rex Eldreth officiating. Burial will follow in the Holman Family Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm on Friday, April 10, 2009 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Holman was born in Ashe County on Monday, June 30, 1947 to the late James Robert Holman and Fairy Trivette Holman. He worked as an Auto Mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Sue Walton Holman; two sons, David Holman and Shelia, of West Jefferson and Robert Holman and wife, Allison, of Rural Hall, NC; a daughter, Angie Taylor and husband, Jimmy, of West Jefferson; a brother, Harold Holman of West Jefferson; two sisters, Sophia Turnmire of West Jefferson and Betty Eller of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Dustin Triac Holman, Zachrey Scott Holman, Jacob Dakota Holman, Miranda Kay Holman, Eric James Holman and Joshua Parker Taylor; several nieces and nephews also survive.
