Mrs. Goldie Edith Blevins Osborne, age 62, of West Jefferson passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at NC Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 3:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 1:00-3:00pm, two hours prior to the memorial service. Mrs. Osborne was born in Grayson County on Friday, June 20, 1952 to the late Franklin and Candace Hart Blevins. She attended Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed coloring in coloring books. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Osborne. Mrs. Osborne is survived by a son, William "Van" Blevins and wife, Marilyn, of Lansing; a brother, Lester Blevins and wife, Brenda Sue, of White Top, VA; three sisters, Faye Walls and husband, Harold, of White Top, VA, Ommie Blevins, of White Top, VA and Betty Higgins, of Purlear, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive.
