Mr. Robert Loyd Faw, better known as "Bobby", age 72, of Warrensville, died Thursday afternoon at the Forsyth Medical Center. Graveside service and burial will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calloway Cemetery with Rev. Max Weaver and Rev. Kirby McNeill officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Faw was born in Ashe County on Thursday, January 21, 1937 to the late Ballard and Edna Poe Faw. He worked in maintence for many years at the Catawissa Lumber Company where he retired. He was an avid camper. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and James Faw. He is survived by his wife, Jean Howell Faw; one son, Ricky Faw, of West Jefferson; two sisters, Albertine Blevins of Jefferson and Ilene Edwards of West Jefferson; a special great nephew, Jeffrey Eldreth of Warrensville; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
