Mr. Robert Glenn Johnson, “better known as Bob”, age 77, of Creston passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 2PM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. William Greer officiating. Burial will follow Piney Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 12-2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson was born in Ashe County on September 6, 1937 to the late Lewis Wilborn Johnson and Gertrude Owens. He was also preceded in death by a son, David Johnson; and a brother, John Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Pearl Farmer Johnson; one daughter, Lisa Lemley of Jefferson; two step-daughters, Tammy Keys and Marie Williams both of Creston; six brothers, Carl Johnson of Lansing, Clyde Johnson of Lansing, Tom Johnson of Grassy Creek, Charles Johnson of Wilkesboro, Benny Johnson of Fleetwood, and Jimmy Johnson of Millers Creek; four sisters, Pat Eastridge of Millers Creek, Ruth Pruitt of Greenville, TN, Ann Blevins of Crumpler, and Brenda Miller of Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three step grandchildren, one step great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will be meeting at the homeplace of Pearl Johnson, 2798 Ed Little Road, Creston, NC 28615.
