Obituary of Betty Lou Daughaday Owen

Mrs. Betty Lou Daughaday Owen, age 69, of Crumpler, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 3PM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Brother David Roush and Chaplain Dominick Gaetano, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 1-3PM at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Owen was born in Baltimore County, Maryland on February 24, 1945 to the late William Franz Daughaday and Gladys Thompson Vanskiver. She was a Homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all. Mrs. Owen is survived by her husband, Randall Owen better known as “Randy”; five daughters; Ronda Lawrence and husband Danny of Jefferson, Teresa Mann of Crumpler, Laura McCoy and husband Vincent of West Jefferson, Melanie Owen of Crumpler, and Wendi Woods and husband Jason of Crumpler; two sisters; Gladys Bontoyan and husband Warren of Maryland, and Linda Magruther and husband Tom of Maryland; nine grandchildren; Kristy Shepherd and husband David, Randall Phipps and wife Jeana, Megan Young and husband Todd, Anthony Phipps and wife Amanda, Travis McCoy, Kayla McCoy, Tyler Woods, Levi Howell, and Coner Woods; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
