Mrs. Pearl Annalou Richardson Rupard, age 87, of Jefferson passed away Tuesday evening, January 27, 2015 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 7:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Shepherd and Rev. Steve Ashley officiating. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00am at Miller Cemetery on the Big Windfall Road. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, January 29, 2015 two hours prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Rupard was born in Ashe County on Thursday, April 5, 1928 to the late Wilda and Bertie Miller Richardson. Pearl married Charles Denver Rupard in October 1953. She was a Homemaker. She enjoyed sewing yoyos for quilts. She was a great country cook. She was a member of Tuckerdale Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Carl Richardson, Charlie "Babe" Richardson, Roey Miller, Earl Miller, Smith Richardson, Wells Richardson, Wayne Richardson and Elmer Richardson; three sisters, Opal Richardson, Laura Richardson and Clyde Miller; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Rupard. Mrs. Rupard is survived by a son, Mark Rupard, of Warrensville and two daughters, Ann Rupard, of Jonesville and Phyllis Ashley and husband, Rick, of Jefferson; a brother, Herbert Richardson and wife, Betty, of West Jefferson; a sister, Ruth Richardson, of Lansing; four grandchildren, Steve Ashley and wife, Samara, of Jefferson, Lori Ashley Walker and husband, Jason, of Jonesville, Jennie Howell, of Jefferson and Austin Rupard, of Warrensville; eight great-grandchildren, Devin Sullins, Terek Ashley, Jernee Ashley, Hailey Vandergraff, Avery Vandergraff, Briley Walker, Adelyn Walker and Levi Ashely; a special caregiver, Nichole Bledsoe, of Jefferson; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted. The family will be meeting at the home of Rick & Phyllis Ashley at 369 Sunnyside Park in Jefferson.
