Mr. Edward Franklin Eason, Jr, better known as "Frank" age 74, of West Jefferson passed away Wednesday morning, February 25, 2015 at Duke University Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Russell Hart officiating. Mr. Eason was born in Wilson County, NC on Friday, January 24, 1941 to the late Edward Franklin and Maye Price Eason. He served in the United States Army. He graduated from NC State. He worked in construction. Mr. Eason is survived by his wife, Barbara Roland Eason; a son, James Lawrence Eason, of Maine; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Rodriguez, of Jefferson and Frances Stuart Blevins, of Jefferson; a brother, Bobby Ray Eason, of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
