Mrs. Lucille Houck Mikeal, age 89, of Todd passed away Friday at Hillview Family Care Home in Todd, NC. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 2:00pm at Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Cornell and Rev. Martha Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Monday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Mikeal was born in Ashe County on Sunday, June 14, 1925 to the late Lawrence and Lela Greer Houck. She was a lifelong member of Zion United Methodist Church in Todd, NC. Lucille was a wonderful lady, friend and neighbor and will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Enoch R. Mikeal; a son, Jerry H. Mikeal and a grandson, Lt. Col. Paul Mikeal. Mrs. Mikeal is survived by: a daughter-in-law, Connie Mikeal, of Clinton, TN; her grandson’s wife, Marlo Mikeal, of Mooresville, NC; two sisters, Lecia Greene (Worth), of Matthews, NC and Loretta Reid (Warner), of Charlotte, NC; three granddaughters, Tina Adkins (David) and Angie Yonce; six great grandchildren, Chandler Adkins and Taylor Adkins, of Knoxville, TN and Ethan and Adams Yonce, of Clinton, TN and Amanda Mikeal and Liam Mikeal, of Mooresville, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive.
