Mrs. Marcia Lois Watson McDowell, age 79, of Crumpler passed away Sunday night, March 22, 2015 at her home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 11:00-1:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. McDowell was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Sunday, September 15, 1935 to the late William K. and Ethel Krider Watson. She was a credit manager for the large retail department store. She loved the ocean and the birds outside. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all. She was also preceded in death by a son, Mark William McDowell. Mrs. McDowell is survived by her husband, Ronald H. McDowell, Sr. of 57 years of marriage; two sons , Ron McDowell, Jr. of Crumpler and Michael McDowell of Concord; a brother , Robert Watson, of Coral Springs, FL; three grandchildren, Amy McDowell, Brian McDowell and Molly McDowell; several nieces and nephews also survive.
