Mr. Kenneth Allen Perkins, age 77, of Scottville died Friday, March 27, 2015 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Leon Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Garden Cemetery with Masonic and military rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Perkins was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, August 4, 1937 to the late George Arthur and Kathleen Woodruff Perkins. He was owner of Allied Fence Company of Greensboro that was founded in 1972. He was a Freemason and a Shiner, a member of the VFW, and a member of Hickory Grove UMC. A knowledgable and kind man that will be missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by a brother, Maynard Perkins. Mr. Perkins is survived by his wife, Glenna Owens Perkins; one daughter, Angela Perkins and husband Kenneth Griffin of Kernersville; one brother, John Perkins and wife Kaye of Jefferson; one sister, Patricia Eastridge of Crumpler; one grandson on the way; his dog, Britches; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
