Ms. Betty Lou West, age 73, of Lansing passed away Friday morning, April 3, 2015 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:00am at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Day officiating. Ms. West was born in Ashe County on July 30, 1941 to the late Nola Lee and Rose Ellen Hash West. She retired from Sprague Electric. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Lee West and a sister, Hazel Cherry. Ms. West is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Ann Howell, of Lansing; two nephews, Jim West and wife, Lisa, of Lansing and Dennis Howell and wife, Linda of Lansing; several great nieces also survive.
