Mrs. Jane Reavis Carter, age 73, of Fleetwood passed away Friday night, April 17, 2015 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. Family will receive friends at the homeplace of Ann Trivette, 376 West Pine Swamp Road, Fleetwood, NC 28626 on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 1:00PM. Mrs. Carter was born in Wilkes County on August 11, 1941 to the late Frank Monroe and Ella Mae Wyatt Reavis. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all. She is survived by two daughters; Ann Trivette and husband Rodney of Fleetwood, and Lola Bare and husband David of Wilkesboro, one son; Bo Carter and wife Amy of West Jefferson, three brothers; Gurnie L. Reavis of Elkin, Earnest “Tex” Reavis of Hays, and Willie J. R. of Raleigh, four sisters; Alice Byrd and husband Bobby of Conover, Mary Ellen Lyall of Winston, Louis Minton of Booneville, NC, and Fannie Starns of South Carolina, eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
