Anita Edwards Chappell, age 95, died May 12, 2015 at her daughter’s residence in North Carolina. Anita was born in Savannah Georgia and was a graduate of Pape School in 1937 and Armstrong Junior College in 1939. Throughout her sixty-three year marriage, she lived in North Central Florida working as a school secretary in Gainesville and Hospital Personnel Director in Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Cook Chappell, her half- brother, William Foreman, and one daughter, Marie Chappell. Survivors include her daughter, Frances Chappell Goodhart (Don) of Lansing, North Carolina, two grandchildren, Benjamin Chappell Goodhart (Eva) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Rebecca Goodhart Arthur (Jeffrey) of Westminster Colorado and great granddaughter, Ivy Arthur. She is also survived by her two sisters, Adelia Edwards Padgett of Savannah Georgia and Lucretia Edwards Barnes of Gainesville, Florida. She will be missed.
