Johnny Mac Orren Sr. age 68, of West Jefferson died Friday, May 29, 2015 at his home in West Jefferson. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Sonny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Freewill Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the funeral at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Orren was born in Alexander County on Tuesday, September 3, 1946 to the late Howard and Pauline Brown Orren. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Roten Orren; a son, Johnny Mac Orren Jr. and wife Nikki of Taylorsville; two daughters, Lisa Orren Dollar of Taylorsville, Sharlinda Dawn Orren and fiance' Cory Hall Sr. of Taylorsville; two brothers, Lee Orren an wife Angela of Taylorsville, Ronald Howard Orren of Stony Point; four sisters, Carol Ann Shook of Taylorsville, Brenda Sue Orren of Hickory, Laura Hope Orren of Hickory, Sharon Orren Coffey and husband Wade of Taylorsville; six grandchildren, Aron Dollar of Taylorsville, Logan Orren of Taylorsville, Lucas Orren of Taylorsville, Lincoln Orren of Taylorsville, Shawna Hall of Taylorsville, Corey Hall Jr. of Taylorsville.
