Mr. Clifford Reggie Church, age 88, of Lansing passed away Monday night, June 1, 2015 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russell Sheets and Rev. Jimmy Eldreth officiating. Burial will follow in the Scott-Blevins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00pm on Thursday, two hours prior to the funeral service. Mr. Church was born in Ashe County on Friday, October 1, 1926 to the late James and Effie Brooks Church. He retired from Weaver's Mfg. Company after working 28 years. He was a member of Green's Chapel Church. Clifford was a tobacco farmer and a bee keeper. In his spare time, he enjoyed walking on the hillsides look for ginseng. He would walk all day, go in early in the morning and come out late in the evening. He was a loving father and grandfather; he will be missed by all. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Fannie McClure Church; three daughters, Debbie Pruitt, Marie Johnson, Cleta Johnson; a son, Clifford Junior Church. Mr. Church is survived by three sons, Roger Church and wife, JoAnn of Lansing, Kenny Church and wife, Janet of Savannah, Georgia and Mike Church and wife Theresa of Creston; a brother, Richard Church of Wilkesboro; a sister, Beulah Blevins of Lansing; seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
