Mrs.Leona Sebok, age 97, of West Jefferson passed away on June 5, 2015 at Forest Ridge Assisted Living. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan,she made several moves with her husband and family before retiring in St. John's, Florida. She was active there in her church and the community Civic Center. She was married to Steve Sebok for 73 years before his passing on February 23, 2013. She is also pre deceased by her loving son Robert, who passed in October, 2014. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn and son-in-law Jay Gibbs of West Jefferson, daughter-in-law Shelly Sebok of Florida and Todd, NC, six grandchildren, Linda Gibbs of Berlin, Germany, Lisa and John Ramsey of Flanders, NJ, Jenny and Zack Holmes of Fleetwood, NC, Scott and Anna Sebok of Charlotte, NC, Trent Sebok of Jacksonville, Florida, and Bryan Sebok of Portland, Oregon. She also has two great grandsons and four great granddaughters who gave her great joy. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Betheny United Methodist Church starting at 11 am. The family will welcome guests starting at 10:30 am. A small lunch will follow.
