Mrs. Delpha Miller Mitchell, age 64, of Jefferson, died Thursday morning, June 25, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11AM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Brother Ed Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Ashe County on April 3, 1951 to the late Roscoe and Ruby Johnson Miller. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all. She is survived by a daughter; Donna Miller and husband Tim of Lansing, one step-son; Larry Mitchell of West Jefferson, two step-daughters, Terry Lopez and husband Alfredo of Coatsville, PA and Sharon Dalton of Villas, NJ, seven sisters; Mary Miller of Lexington, Becky Sale and husband Rodney of Lexington, Geneva Gilley and husband Ricky of Lexington, Karen Buckland and husband Robert of Lexington, Sue Campbell of Notthingham, PA, Berta Faw of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Opal Essick and husband Joe of Jefferson, two brothers; Allen Miller of Lexington and Lane Miller and wife Rose of Rising Sun, MD, two grandchildren; Jason Eldreth and Brandon Eldreth, one step-granddaughter; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
