Mrs. Leva Daun Wiles Pinzuti, age 91, of White Marsh, Maryland, formerly of Ashe County passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11AM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Nina Wynn and Rev. Kermit Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in the Haw-Orchard Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 6-8pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Pinzuti was born in Ashe County to the late Hiram G and Gladys Osborne Wiles. But she was as much a child of the beautiful NC Mountain’s as anything else. Though her life’s journey took her North to Maryland where she would marry Leo Joseph Pinzuti and begin their family, she loved Ashe County, and the people, her people, passionately. Her heart never left Big Horse Creek. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leo Joseph Pinzuti; a sister, Edith Blye Carroll; and a brother, Hiram Gale Wiles, Jr. Mrs. Pinzuti is survived by three daughters; Patricia Pinzuti of Parkville, MD, Linda Pinzuti of White Marsh, MD, and Dawn Hamilton and husband David of Mount Airy, MD; two sons; Leo Pinzuti, Jr. of White Marsh and Tony Pinzuti of Stewartstown, PA; three sisters; Castine Yearick of Lansing, Clarice Weaver of Warrensville, and Christine Hart of Roanoke, VA; one granddaughter; Amy Hamilton of Mount Airy, MD; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
