Mr. Everette James Howell, age 87, of Todd passed away Sunday afternoon, July 5, 2015 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Floyd South and Rev. Tim Roten officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm on Wednesday, one hour prior to the funeral home. Mr. Howell was born in Ashe County on August 1, 1927 to the late Richard and Carrie Grubb Howell. He was an Agricultural Farmer. He was a member of Baldwin Community Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ilean Ball Howell; two sisters, Wilma Wood and Maggie Hamm; a brother, Edison G. Howell. Mr. Howell is survived by a brother, Earnest Howell, of Jefferson; four sisters, Louise Witherspoon, of Jefferson, Lea Ella South and husband, Floyd, of West Jefferson, Myrtle Adams and husband, Ray, of Taylorsville and Leona Jarvis, of West Jefferson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
