Mrs. Nell Pollard, age 86, of Scottville passed away Thursday evening at Margate Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00PM at Chestnut Hill Methodist Church with Rev. Martha Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Hill Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 on Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Pollard was born in Ashe County on August 31, 1928 to the late John William and Pearl Elsie Chatham Caldwell. She worked as a CAN. She is survived by one daughter; Gail Harrell of West Jefferson, two brothers; Ray Caldwell of Crumpler and Gary Caldwell of Louisiana, two sisters; Mae Pugh of West Jefferson and Sally Wood of Pasadena, Maryland, and one grandson; Cody Sullivan also survives.
