Mrs. Betty Jo Wheeler Boggs, age 87, of Jefferson, formally of Baltimore, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Boggs was born in Ashe County on November 15, 1927 to the late Gilbert and Greta Bare Wheeler. She was involved in her church in Baltimore, Maryland. She enjoyed cooking and reading. She is preceded in death by a brother; Kyle Gilbert Wheeler, and a son; Jimmy Ervin Boggs. Mrs. Boggs is survived by her husband; Clyde Ervin Boggs, one brother; Hoyt Wheeler of Laurel Springs, six grandchildren; Beth Fisher of Havre De Grace, MD, Steven Boggs of Westover, MD, Jennifer Boggs of Churchville, MD, Joshua Boggs of West Jefferson,NC Kym Boggs of Lexington, VA, and Jimmy Boggs, Jr. of Dundalk, MD, seven great- grandchildren; Rebecca Simmons, Katie Gonzalez, Jeffery Boggs, Travis Boggs, Chandler Boggs, Hendrix Griffin, and Serenity Boggs, three great-great-grandchildren; Jake Foster, Levi Gonzalez, and Hanna Boggs, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
