Mr. Joseph Franklin Osborne, age 78, of Winston-Salem, formerly of Ashe County passed away Thursday morning, August 6, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 3:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Baity officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 6-8pm at Berean Baptist Church in Winston Salem and on Sunday from 2-3pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Osborne was born in Ashe County on May 6, 1937 to the late Oscar Delmer and Lockie Landreth Osborne. He retired from General Motors. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, and repairing clocks and watches. He is survived by his wife, Mary Belle Miller Osborne; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers will be accepted!
