Mr. Timothy Jason Black, better known as T.J., age 34, of West Jefferson passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 4:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Dollar officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00pm on Sunday; two hours prior to the funeral service. T.J. was born in Ashe County on Tuesday, November 25, 1980 to James Timothy and Sherry Lynn Black. He graduated from Beaver Creek High School. He worked at Sheets Brothers and AEV. T.J. enjoyed skiing, fishing, riding his motorcycle and love to play sports when he was in school. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, James Walter (Jimmy) Taylor; paternal grandmother, Virginia Grace Black. Mr. Black is survived by his parents, Tim & Sherry Taylor Black, of West Jefferson; maternal grandmother , Eula Taylor, of Jefferson; paternal great grandmother, Clyde Black, of West Jefferson; three aunts, Lisa Taylor, of Laurel Springs, Teresa Taylor, of Laurel Springs and Mitzi Reese, of Bethel, NC; three uncles, Mike Taylor and Mark Taylor, both of Wilkesboro and Chris Hartzog, of Atlanta, GA; great aunt, Lois Sturgill, of West Jefferson; several cousin's also survive.
