Mr. Carl Raymond Winebarger, age 86, of West Jefferson passed away Sunday evening, September 13, 2015 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11:00am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Keith Elledge officiating. Mr. Winebarger was born in Ashe County on September 10, 1929 to the late Walter and Pansy Lyalls Winebarger. He worked as a Car Salesman at Ashe County Motors. He is a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed working on clocks. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Dillard Winebarger; a daughter, Hilda Winebarger; two sons, Thomas Winebarger and Robert Winebarger; three brothers, Perry Winebarger, Wade Winebarger and Blaine Winebarger; a sister, Wilma Grogan. Mr. Winebarger is survived by two sons, Joe Winebarger and wife, Christy, of West Jefferson and David Winebarger and wife, Lynn, of Glendale Springs; three brothers, Donnie Winebarger and wife, Carol, of West Jefferson, Danny Winebarger and wife, Judy, of West Jefferson and Benny Winebarger, of Fleetwood; a sister, Thelma DeVall, of West Jefferson; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; several nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, c/o Harold Miller 3325 Water Tank Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694. The family will be meeting at the home of Joe and Christy Winebarger, 2577 Idlewild Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
