Mr. I.S. Cooper, better known as "Buck" age 92, of Fleetwood passed away Sunday night, September 21, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 11AM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11am, one hour prior to the funeral services. Mr. Cooper was born July 7, 1923 in Ashe County, North Carolina to Albert Sidney and Gertrude Church Cooper. He was a Dairy Farmer. He was on the Board of Directors of the following companies: Skyline Telephone, Dairy Farmers of American and Yadkin Valley Dairy. He is preceded in death by his wife; Shirley Cox Cooper, and a brother; Bud Cooper. Mr. Cooper was is survived by two sons; Ronnie Cooper and wife Linda of Fleetwood, and Donnie Cooper and wife DeeDee of Moravian Falls, one granddaughter; Deena Lee Sammons and husband Dustin of Jacksonville, NC, two great-grandchildren; Peyton Faith Sammons and Reagan Sue Sammons both of Jacksonville, NC.
