Ms. Sarah Elizabeth Jones, age 33, of West Jefferson passed away Sunday evening, September 27, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 3PM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Roten and Rev. Steve LeaShomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Jefferson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-3 pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Ms. Jones was born in Watauga County on Wednesday, June 23, 1982 to Jerry Wayne and Donna Harless Jones. She graduated from Ashe County High School in the year 2000. Sarah enjoyed swimming, fishing and riding four wheelers with her son, Nater. She also had a great love for her two dogs, Reece and Rosie and her cat, Jinx. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, F.A. Harless, Jr. Ms. Jones was survived by her son, Nathan Anderson Duncan, better known as “Nater” of West Jefferson; her parents, Jerry W. and Donna H. Jones of West Jefferson; her maternal grandmother, Edith Harless, of West Jefferson; her paternal grandparents, Delmer H and Stella Mae Jones, of Warrensville; a brother, Jason “Square” Jones, of West Jefferson; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
