Dear Beth, Mark, and Nic
I just learned about the loss of your father, and I am sorry for that great loss. I remember him so well and shall ever be grateful to him for the care he took of our dear Rhumell. But I also remember him as a kind and gentle soul (with a ready liveliness) that I would have liked to know better. It was always special for Sheridan and me to get together with your folks whenever we made it back to Ashe County; I just wish life circumstances had allowed us to keep on returning. I also sorely regret my failure to keep some communication with Ray. I simply let my own difficulties get in the way, but your Dad came to mind more often than you ever would guess.
I still must manage my exposure to electronics and, while I don't do social media, email is welcome. It would be terrific to hear a bit from any or all of you. I'd like to know how life goes with you, and photos would be especially wonderful - a group shot, perhaps.
It is unlikely that I ever will be able o return to Ashe County, but a bit of my heart has permanent residence there. Fm3R
Blessings to all of you,
Joyce
P.S. I still have a couple of wonderful letters from your Mother from way back when. I'd be happy to send copies if that would interest.

Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. Words alone can not ease the pain when grieving the loss of a love one. The Bible provides comfort during these difficult times. Revelation 21:3-4 states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". May God give you and your family comfort in your loving memories and in His promise that soon we will never experience losing our loved ones in death and we will be able to see them again once they resurrected as per John 5:28-29. May these words give you a new hope, with deepest sympathy and warmth of heart.

My deepest love, sympathy and prayers I send for you at this time of grief, dear ones. I have precious memories of your family at First Baptist Church and such beautiful thoughts of your mother and father lovingly raising you all those years. I enjoyed a friendship with you and I grieve for you once again at the sad news that Ray has passed. I take comfort that a beautiful couple has reunited now and what a Celebration they must be having; an eternity with no disease or pain and the glory that only God offers!
May you all be filled with Peace and fellowship with one another at this time.
