Mr. Phillip Lee Stanley, age 78 passed away Monday, October 12th at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Stanley was born January 20th, 1937 in Ashe County to Virgil and Emma Jones Stanley. He was a Civil Engineer, Real Estate Developer, and Christmas Tree Grower. He was a member of Warrensville Baptist Church. Phil is survived by his wife, Betty M. Stanley, one Daughter, Beth Stanley Britt, two grandchildren Patrick and Ava Britt. Three brothers, Jones, Joe, and David Stanley, three sisters, Imogene Brooks, Jerrie Moore, and Nancye McGlasico. Family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:30 on Wednesday, October 14th at Boone Family Funeral Home in West Jefferson, North Carolina.
