Mr. Fred Brewer, age 79, of Creston passed away Thursday at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 2PM at Big Laurel Mennonite Church with Pastor Kirby Herman officiating. Burial will follow in the Roten Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Big Laurel Mennonite Church. Mr. Brewer was born in Ashe County on December 31, 2015 to the late Dave and Lona Rich Brewer. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Brewer; one daughter, Laura Gidcumb and husband Ira of Creston, and several nieces and nephews also survive. No flowers please!
