Mrs. Martha Shirley Miller Vickers, age 73, of Lansing passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later day. Mrs. Vickers was born in Wilkes County on April 28, 1942 to the late Rudy and Dollie Richardson Miller. She enjoyed making jewelry. Mrs. Vickers is survived by her husband Jim Vickers, one daughter; Kathy Vickers and husband Billy of West Jefferson, three grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
