Mr. Blaine Elmo Dillard, age 81, of Jefferson passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at his brother's home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 3:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Carter, Rev. Larry Powers and Rev. Randall Greene officiating. A private burial will be held. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00pm on Friday, November 20, 2015; two hours prior to the funeral service. Mr. Dillard was born in Ashe County on Tuesday, January 2, 1934 to the late Arthur Spencer and Pansy Ruth Miller Dillard. He worked as a Truck Driver. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Dillard and a brother, Herbert Dillard. Mr. Dillard is survived by a son, Randy Dillard, of Delaware; a step daughter, Christy Wilson, of Greensboro; two step sons, Ralph Castle of West Virginia and Steven Porter and wife, Karen, of Ennice; two sisters, Peggy Powers and husband, Larry, of Jefferson and Barbara Phillips, of Concord; two brothers, Harold Dillard, of Jefferson and Clifton Dillard and wife, Doris, of Jefferson; a special friend, Barbara porter of West Jefferson; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will be meeting at the home of Harold Dillard at 163 Arthur Lane Access in Jefferson. e
