Mr. Larry Roger Coldiron, better known as "Roger" age 66, of Jefferson passed away Sunday morning, November 22, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Roten and Rev. Joey McClure officiating. Burial will follow in the Jefferson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mr. Coldiron was born in Ashe County on Sunday, September 4, 1949 to the late Burlie Worth and Marena Johnson Coldiron. He was a self-employed Painter. He was a member of Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department for over 22 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; he will be missed by all. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Coldiron and a sister, Lura Wingler. Mr. Coldiron is survived by his wife, Linda Calhoun Coldiron; a son, Larry Coldiron and wife, Amanda, of Jefferson; two brothers, Walter Coldiron and wife, Lois, of Marion, Virginia and Michael Coldiron and wife, Debbie, of Jefferson; three sisters, Louise Steel and husband, Bob, of Jefferson, Wilma Church and husband, Tony, of Crumpler and Beatrice Booth and husband, Ed, of West Jefferson; a grandson, Eli Coldiron; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Caldwell, 902 Kirkwood Street NW, Lenoir, NC 28645. The family is meeting at the homeplace at 106 Faw Roland Street in Jefferson.
