Mr. Junior Rash Richardson, age 70, of Lansing passed away Thursday evening, December 10, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Julian Owen officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm on Sunday, December 13, 2015; one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Richardson was born in Ashe County on Sunday, September 23, 1945 to Stacey and Eula Taylor Richardson. He worked at Thomasville Furniture Company. Junior enjoyed fishing; talking to people and telling jokes. He never met a stranger. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Leigh Richardson; a son, Stacey Richardson; three brothers, Dale "Judge" Richardson, Hunt Richardson and Bobby Richardson; a sister, Ruby Richardson. Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Joann Eastridge Richardson; two daughters, Tammy Miller, of Lansing and Misty Richardson, of Glendale Springs; a son, Cody Richardson, of Jefferson; a sister, Flossie Taylor, of Lansing; four brothers, Bynum Richardson, of Lansing, Roy Richardson, of Lansing, Bruce Richardson, of Maryland and Ottis Richardson, of Mountain City, TN; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive.
