Mrs. Lillie Miller Church, age 97, of Lansing passed away Friday morning, January 29, 2016 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 1PM at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Shepherd and Dr. Calvin Miller officiating. Private graveside service will be held. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm on Sunday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Church was born in Ashe County on August 9, 1918 to the late Charles Oscar and Hattie Blanche Barr Miller. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, and cooking. She was a loving mother, and grandmother, and will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her husband; Walter Earnie Church, a sister; Ella Mae Sexton, and two brothers; Clifford Miller and Howard Miller. She is survived by one son; Bob Church and wife Susie of Crumpler, one daughter; Betty Mahaffey and husband Elmer Lee of Lansing; one brother, Bruce Miller and wife Sue of Lansing, four grandchildren; Harold Osborne, Donnie Mahaffey, Devin Church, and Danessa Church, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
