Mrs. Beulah Faye Finley Dixon, age 95, of Lansing passed away peacefully on February 10, 2016 surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 20, 2016 at 11AM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Calhoun Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11AM on Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Dixon was born in Washington County on April 1, 1920 to the late Andrew and Oliva Brooks Finley. She loved to garden and cook. She also loved to shop and travel. She went to the Bahamas and liked to go to the casino. She was preceded in death by three brothers; Earl Finley, Carl Finley, and Wayne Finley, one daughter; Anita Dixon, and two grandchildren; Dina Joann Weaver and Richard Weaver. Mrs. Dixon is survived by five sons; Willard Dixon of Whitetop, VA, Charles Dixon and wife Carol of Denton, NC, Bill Dixon and wife Ann of Warrensville, John Dixon and wife Valeda of Winston Salem, and Gerald Dixon of Thomasville, six daughters; Ilene Weaver of Landenburg, Juanita Blevins and husband Geter of West Jefferson, Betty Eldreth and husband Bill of Lansing, Freda Jeandell and husband Frank of Landenberg, PA, Pat Freeman of Thomasville, and Hilda Richardson and husband Dean of High Point, one brother; Worth Finley of Lansing, twenty-nine grandchildren; thirty-one great-granchildren; five great, great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
