Mrs. Ann Calloway Holman, age 79, of Jefferson passed away Tuesday night, February 16, 2016 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2PM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Joe Blevins and Rev. John Elledge officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 6-8pm at Boone Family Funeral home. Mrs. Holman was born in Ashe County on July 29, 1936 to the late James Bower and Gladys Stike Calloway. Ann enjoyed caring for her family and friends.She always had a smile on her face and a helping hand for anyone. She was a faithful member of Bristol Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Holman. She is survived by one son; Thomas Gregory “Greg” Holman and wife Linda of Jefferson, one daughter; Pam Holman Neaves of Lexington, three brothers; J.B. Calloway and wife Lola of West Jefferson, Johnny Calloway and wife Peggy of West Jefferson, and Richard Calloway of Jefferson, two sisters; Bettie Goodman of Virginia Beach, VA, and Susie Lyle and husband Joe of Jefferson, two grandchildren; Brian Neaves and wife Christin of Lexington, and Lyndsi Holman of Jefferson, two great-grandsons; Riley and Mason Neaves of Lexington; several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Bristol Baptist Church, PO Box 1016, Jefferson, NC 28640. The family will be meeting at the homeplace on Wade Bare Road in Jefferson.
