Mrs. Helen Roten Snyder, age 75, of Glendale Springs passed away Sunday morning, February 28, 2016 at Margate Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 2:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Carter and Rev. Dayton Roten officiating. Burial will follow in the Sam Miller Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm on Thursday, March 3, 2016; one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Snyder was born in Wilkes County on June 3, 1940 to the late Fieldon and Flossie Jordan Roten. She worked at Hane's Knit Products. She enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing, cooking and gardening. She was a very caring person and tried to help her friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dean Snyder; three brothers, Howard Roten, Herman Roten and Homer Roten; three sisters, Billie Miller, Bobbie Roten and Louella Staley. Mrs. Snyder is survived by two sisters, Faye Roten, of Glendale Springs and Hallie Bell, of North Wilkesboro; a brother, Robert Dale Roten and wife, Robin, of Glendale Springs; several nieces and nephews also survive.
