Mrs. Shirley Elizabeth Pruitt, age 67, of Lansing passed away Friday afternoon, March 18, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2PM at Boone Family Funeral Home with Rev. David Brooks and Rev. Jimmy Eldreth officiating. Burial will follow in the Howell Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 1-2pm at Boone Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Pruitt was born on June 25, 1948 in Ashe County to the late Thomas and Faye Barker Pruitt. She enjoyed making quilts and her flowers. She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years; Beuford Pruitt; and a daughter, Debbie Lynn Pruitt. Mrs. Pruitt is survived by two daughters; Treva Pruitt of Lansing, and Dana Lange of Crumpler, two brothers; Troy Jones of Lansing, and Jerry Jones and wife Louise of Lansing, one grandson; Gregory Pruitt of Lansing, and several nephews also survive.
