Mr. Stanley Dale Barker, age 83, of Grassy Creek passed away Friday morning, April 29, 2016 at his Margate Health and Rehab Center. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 3:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-3pm; one hour prior to the memorial service. Mr. Barker was born in Grayson County on March 29, 1933 to the late Aubrey and Maggie Blevins Barker. He served in the United States Navy during Korea War. He was talented in construction and enjoyed learning new things. He was great with people. He was a loving father and will be missed by all. He was also preceded in death by his wife; Delphyne Brown Barker. Mr. Barker is survived by two sons; Daniel Barker of Grassy Creek, and Mike Barker of Grassy Creek, one son-in-law; Ricky Barrier of Cleveland, one step granddaughter; Christy Blevins of Lansing, two great-great grandsons; Ethan Blevins and Jacob Reece, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
