Mrs. Virginia Brown, age 61, of West Jefferson, passed away Saturday night, May 7, 2016 at her daughter's residence. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 4:00pm at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Witherspoon officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00pm on Tuesday; two hours prior to the funeral services. Mrs. Brown was born in Romania on April 14, 1955 to the late Gheorghe Georgescu and Tinca Scaiba. She was owner/operator at Black Jack's Pub & Grill. Virginia always was a hard worker and always wanted to help others. She was a loving mother and grandmother; she will be missed by all. She is survived by a son, Alin Retezatu, of West Jefferson; a daughter, Christina Potterand husband, Paul, of Jefferson; two brothers; a sister; eight grandchildren, Madeleine, Bella, Matthew, Lotus, Torin, Johnny, Elizabeth and Dominic; three great grandchildren, Ethan, Anastasia and Nathan; several nieces and nephews also survive.
