Mr. Mark Anthony Taylor, age 54, of Jefferson passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 from an accident. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 11:00am at Boone Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Roten officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am on Wednesday, June 1, 2016; one hour prior to the funeral service. Mr. Taylor was born in Ashe County on July 28, 1961 to Charles Edward Taylor, Sr. and Helen Louise Trivette Kelley. He served in the United States Navy, where he became disabled. He enjoyed the outdoors such as fishing and gardening. He was a member of Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jenny Kaye Taylor Howell. Mr. Taylor is survived by his mother, Helen Trivette Kelley, of Crumpler; his father and stepmother, Ed and Jessie Taylor, of West Jefferson; two brothers, Charles Edward Taylor, Jr., of Crumpler and David Taylor, of Crossnore; several nieces and nephews also survive.
